Torched earth repugs make it difficult for Prez Kerry
Listen to any of their supporters and they don't talk about differing opinions on policies (except abortion), they'll tell you Kerry is unfit for the office, inviting a terrorist attack, etc. This slash and burn style of campaigning leaves little room for reconciliation once Kerry wins.

I see a Clinton redux.

The problem with Kerry winning, is that these assholes live to see another day believing that they're on a chosen path. In the event of a total Bush meltdown, their movement would be totally discredited. I'm afraid we will have to reach that point someday to be rid of these fanatics.

1. What does a Bush melt down look like?

2. Some major discrediting event...
...maybe a humiliating defeat in Iraq - or elsewhere -.

Or it could be Bush saying something completely insane to the national press. In the order of "I'm a messenger from God"

Anything that would make the freepers sit down in unison

4. I'm not worried.
Kerry had eight...eight...years of the Clinton presidency to watch and learn from. I fear you may be underestimating him.

Welcome to DU, by the way.
