It's the Kerry-copter
Cool! Although I do worry about him doing so much flying in such bad weather...

It's a Bird, It's a Plane... It's the Kerry-Copter
John Kerry to Travel across Iowa by Helicopter for NON-STOP Campaigning on Thursday January 15th!

Building on the growing momentum of the last few weeks, John Kerry will storm Iowa by helicopter tomorrow so that he can take his message of fighting for working Americans to as many Iowa caucus-goers as possible.

Kerry, who has spent more days campaigning in Iowa than any other Democrat, will cover more ground and reach more Iowa voters by traveling in a helicopter between campaign stops. With just a few days left to the caucuses, John Kerry is determined to fight for every last vote so that he can give America back its future and stand up for all Americans.

“The clock is ticking, and John Kerry is fighting harder than ever to let every Iowan know that he is on their side, and ready to take on George Bush,” said Kerry spokesperson Stephanie Cutter. “John Kerry has spent the past year traveling across the state, meeting Iowans in their homes and in their workplaces and listening to their ideas and concerns about the direction of this nation. In the few remaining days before the first votes are cast, he wants to reach out to as many Iowans as possible and share his vision for America.”

1. I worry too
I suppose it makes sense time wise but it's a major expense and dangerous.

4. RE riding helicopters:
one of the best stories from the last ten years was when that boyscout got lost in Montana and Harrison Ford went out in his helicopter to find him. He found him.

Can you imagine what it must have been like for a kid, lost, to see a helicopter come out of the sky, and then to see that Han Solo was flying it.

7. He's flying it himself, lol
Just saw it on MSNBC. He has a co-pilot, or he's the co-pilot, but he's all miked in and flying that helicopter all around the state. 7 stops today. That'll turn some heads!

5. Kerry proves the pundits wrong...
That should be the headline should Kerry win Iowa. Boy, who would have thunk it after the chaos his campaign went though. Kerry wants this one badly and he's fighting down to the wire. I'm proud of him as a person and as a candidate.

Anyone else find this ironic? Dean was the clear frontrunner in both Iowa and New Hampshire. Those states were supposed to nearly secure the nomination for him. Now we've got (comeback kid) Kerry surging in Iowa (and don't count out Gep, who's also within 1-2 percentage points) and Clark surging in NH . Kerry's also up 2 points in the ARG tracking.

It's hard to believe but as recent as Dec 26-28, Dean was leading Clark 37% to 12%

This is turning out to be one wild ride.

10. I'm pleased to see Kerry turn his campaigning around...
And focus on the resume and credentials.

Gone are the gimmicks and now just the candidate - very good move.

8. sigh..
I don't like this. It just seems that helicopters have an aversion to remaining in the air.

I wish him well!
