Thank you Lou Dobbs..in speaking to Bill Sneider about today's CNN poll
Dobbs mentions that CNN's polling has not been particularly accurate in the past, and Sneider to respond by mentioning the new Washington Post pollthat has Kerry up by one.

5. Do you sometimes get the feeling
that Lou Dobbs is really the only reality based"journalist" left at CNN?

8. I think he is pretty reality based,
but he DOES tend to let his bias towards certain things show through. You can tell he REALLY doesn't like immigration. I think he's more along the lines of Pat Buchanan in bias. Seems kind of isolationist, anti-immigrant but yet seems to be in favor of the war (unlike Buchanan). Maybe I read him wrong but that's what I see.

11. He's a xenophobe
Afraid of foreigners in this country and afraid of foreigners abroad. Dobbs would deport every Hispanic in this country if he could.

10. I don't know about "reality based" but he does seem to be the
only one left with a shred of integrity and fair play.

13. Lou is right about immigration....
I heard Lou Dobbs interviewed recently and it he makes it plain we have an important question to answer: just who is the American economy intended to benefit?

Until we stand up for American workers, most of our other problems will fester.

17. immigration
is a net plus for American workers. Many small businesses are started by immigrants and they create jobs.

18. Baloney, Dave- Illegal labor is abused. And it hurts American workers too
Hey, Dave, come on down here to Texas and see what immigration, especially illegal immigration, has done.

Social services are overburdened by those not paying into them.

Further, many illegal immigrants are treated horribly by employers.

And wages stay low in jobs that you might not take, but many Americans would if they paid a fair wage. And don't try that old saw that Geo. W. Bush uses saying Americans won't take the work.

The fact is illegal laborers send much of their earnings out of US. Six dollars an hour may not buy much in the USA, but it buys a lot in the third world.

I will guarantee you that if illegal labor suppressed your earnings, put your job in jeopardy, strapped your schools and hospital district, you'd sing a different tune.

And if illegals took jobs from lawyers and congresspersons, we'd have no illegal immigration at all.

15. Lou asks the right questions about deficits & the war on the middle class
You can still tell he's a republican, but I'm betting he stays home on election day or even votes Kerry.

The thing about his wife was kind of odd, though. Any update on that? (She was caught by airport security with a gun in her purse or bag.)

19. offically he hasn't endorsed either
He wants a much stronger plan from Kerry on outsourcing, H-1b, L-1
especially modification of trade agreements.

He's actually a die hard Republican, but * has put incredible
pressure and harassment to stop Lou from reporting on the outsourcing
of jobs and Lou, God Bless him, say "no way".

It's kind of amazing that a die hard capitalist would scream bloody murder on outsourcing...

but if you dig into the economic theory he's dead on about it...
America as a economic force is so much due to the strength of it's middle class, which is now under assault.
