1. Many newscasts don't connect the explosives to the IEDS,
leaving it up to the viewer to figure it out.

Shinseki knew the deal. But it didn't fit with the politics, so he had to be disposed of. The man has dignity.

Monday morning quarterbacking is critisizing a decision after the heat of battle has passed and without the risk of making the actual decision. If you're saying that Gen Shinseki made a good decision and warned BushCo, then your title is saying the opposite.

4. It's ironic
It was meant to mean that he would be proactive in telling them what should have been clearly obvious to anyone who took more than two minutes to think of it, wasn't selling a "product", or just didn't care and was lying through their teeth and knew it.
