Senate Race Perspectives
These are the races that have been touted as the ones to watch. Right now it stands at 52R and 48D with one independent.

If we lost all of these:
Florida-loss
Georgia-loss
North Carolina-loss
South Dakota-loss
South Carolina-loss
Louisiana-loss
Colorado-no difference
Alaska-no difference
Oklahoma-no difference
Kentucky-no difference
For a net loss of 6 for us which would put it at 58R and 42D with 1 independent.

If we won all of them:
Florida-no difference
Georgia-no difference
North Carolina-no difference
South Carolina-no difference
South Dakota-no difference
Louisiana-no difference
Colorado-gain
Alaska-gain
Oklahoma-gain
Kentucky-gain
For a net gain of 4 which would put it at 52D and 48R with 1 independent.

Did I leave any of the "hot" races out?
Take this into account when you are talking about particular senate races. Also look at Pennsylvania with interest.

1. How can Kerry govern with both houses in the hands of Rethugs?
