Which state is the highest percentage of dumbed-down voters?

Texas? Alabama? Surprisingly, not the case.

Brace yourself: with 97.5% of precincts reporting, Wyoming wins that dubious achievement award with 68.8% (more than 2 out of 3) voting for Bush, 29.33% voting for Kerry, and 1.12% voting for Nader.

Number 2 in the dumbed-down award category: Nebraska. Alabama and Texas aren't that far behind, however.

(scratching head): is it any wonder it has never once occurred to me in 59+ years to ever set foot in any of those states?

9. You're right in a sense...

69.09% voting for Bush in Idaho, more than the 68.8% in Wyoming. But 29.75% in Idaho have voted for Kerry, more than the 29.33% in Wyoming. And all this may change, because only 81.3% of precincts in Idaho have been counted by now as compared to 97.5% in Wyoming. So I'd still say Wyoming's more of a sure bet for the award. Plus, when you compare the percentages, the differences between Bush and Kerry are slightly larger (still less than 1%) for Bush in Wyoming than in Idaho.

So I'd say Idaho and Wyoming are a toss-up for the 1-2 spot. That puts Nebraska as #3 with 66.72% voting for Bush and 32.02% for Kerry.
