I don't see either side with 270 EVs. So what's all this repuke talk of
Kerry needing to concede "for the good of the country?" And by "repuke talk" I also mean the media.

Funny, I remember hearing the SAME thing said in 2000. Do they really think we're going to roll over and die this time?

No way.

Only the repuke party would say to people "oh yeah your vote counts, until we think we have enough and then we're gonna stop counting and declare victory."

NO 270 EVs!!!!!

The Democrats want EVERY vote counted, which just verifies for me again that I am in the right party. That's one thing good that has come out of the last four years--I have finally found my party (there was never any question I wasn't a repuke) and I have had it verified for me over and over the last four years that it is the right one.

The media is going to have to accept and deal with the fact that future elections are not going to be able to be a one-night show to pump up their ratings. I think (though I doubt this will happen) that in future, there should be a one to two week wait, however long it takes, to FIND OUT who REALLY won when all the votes are COUNTED. I mean it, every last one. None of this guessing based on 0% precincts reporting shit. The media would HATE that. In fact, I think they love the way it's been working out in 2000 and 2004, because look, people are STILL tuning in round the clock because it hasn't been determined.

I haven't read any of the board yet, I just got on after waking up at 7 and turning on the TV, something I never do. The attitudes of the talking heads made me want to puke. So maybe there's something that has been discussed here I don't know about yet, but I think the Dems should keep fighting for every vote to be counted, the Dems should uncover voting fraud everywhere it happened and reveal the repukes and their slimy ways. No surrender, no surrender, neither side has 270.

And I'm not into finding blame right now for anyone but republicans. I don't want to talk about the youth vote and what happened or not, I do think they turned out. What I am most disconcerted by is this lack of counting all the provisional, absentee, early voting, and overseas ballots. Heck some regular ballots aren't even done being counted.

Fuck george bush. He hasn't been my president and never will be. The Congressional races piss me off. I'm not ready nor willing to concede SHIT.

I am feeling conflicted and pissed off about my state this morning, despite the fact that many more counties went blue this year than in 2000. We got three Dem judges and one Dem county sheriff who won, that's it. The asshole repuke state rep I was working against, standing in the rain for 12 hours yesterday, canvassing over 100 houses in the past two weeks, won. The people of my district must be brain-dead. He's a greedy bastard who doesn't do shit for this district, but I guess that's what they want, eh? Instead of a woman so impressive even the Dallas Morning (Repuke) News said we need her and not that other guy, who is basically worthless as hell. And the Dallas Morning News only endorsed THREE Dems in ALL the area races (and there were a lot of races).

It's not realistic right now, but can anyone recommend a nice liberal area of the US to move to? We love Oregon, but you guys got no jobs there. Philly is starting to look nice. And if we could afford to live in NYC we would.

I feel numb. I waver between wanting to fight and wanting to withdraw into a shell and say fuck it, I don't care anymore.

1. Don't ask me about where in the US to move

I'm stuck in Missouri.

Which has apparently been taken over by bigots.

The only consolation is that our Secretary of State (in charge of elections) won't be the despicable state house speaker.

2. The media wants * to win
The talking heads are all talking about when Kerry will concede not when the remaining Ohio ballots will be counted.

And now some fucking idiot caller on C-Span just said that she knew why we went to war in Iraq because of reading the bible and her religion. I am speechless. I am in Georgia and the repugs rolled us. I don't even know if my candidates have won or lost. I'm too upset to even check at this point.

Now the callers are saying "we have to accept that * has won." Fuck that.

3. Exactly.
FUCK. THAT.

No. If they are counting on the same Democrats they got in 2000, they are wrong, wrong, wrong.

We've now witnessed four years of a bush misadministration when they are THINKING of re-election. I shudder to think of a lame duck one, oh my God.

It will not happen. Democrats will NOT go softly into that good night. COUNT EVERY FARGING VOTE.
