In elementary school, I read "The Frank Gifford Story" maybe 15 times. Don't ask me why.

From that book I remember the Giants won the title in '56, with Charlie Connerly at QB. Kyle Rote. Probably a few others. Gifford went to Bakersfield Junior College. One finger was literally handing from a thread, after an oil field injury, as I recall.

We might as well get Frank Gifford back to page one. He's sadly neglected on DU.
