Poll question: Dean supporters: would you prefer Dean to run in '08 or be DNC Chair
If you had a choice (and none of us really do) what would your prefer for Dr. Dean to do: Run for president in 2008 or Seek the job of DNC Chair. If he runs for DNC chair and wins, he would have to relinquish running for president in 2008 as a condition.

Your thoughts?

1. I voted or 2008
but to be honest I am undecided. I want him to do both.

3. I can't decide...
When HD appears on television he isn't the unhinged emotionally out- of-control person they made him out to be after "the scream." I think he could run again--poke humor at what the media did to him--and try to improve on what he did this last time.

But then I am afraid of the DLC getting a grasp on the DNC--and we need someone like HD in there as well.

What a choice...

4. DNC chair now.
We absolutely have to start rebuilding this party NOW. We can't let the DLC pick someone even more useless than Terry McAulliffe (if that's even possible) so they can lose 5 more Senate seats in 2006 and pick another limp rag nominee in 2008.

7. He can't do both, huh?
He could certainly make a difference in the 2006 elections as the DNC chair, so we need him there. I'd like to see him run again, though, also. Color me undecided.

8. Chair, if he's given enough authority
If Dean is given free reign to make decisions about staffing, message, data, and any other part of infrastructure, then he should definitely be Chair. If not, he should forget it. We need wholesale changes in some of our positions up there.

9. If he were to be DNC chair
we can kiss all of the DFA work done so far and in the future, goodbye.

And, of course, a run for the presidency in '08.

10. This has to be the end of Northeastern liberals
running for president for a long time. We need someone from the South or Midwest next time around.

12. With the way the democrats wiped their ass with his candidacy...
I wouldn't blame him for not running in 08.

Being head of the DNC he could get us back on the right track.
