My (second) note to Keith Olbermann

Here is my second note to him (in the first one, I thanked him and ranted a bit (politely!) about how he is wrong about the reasons why none of the others will touch the election fraudulence story):

How come the '04 exit polls were so wrong, how come they are right when they are used to say "Bush won the moral majority"? Doesn't this strike you as at least opportunistic, if not downright Orwellian?

Could you please look into what and where the discrepancy between the exit polls and the actual tally presented to us is arising from?

You know, I teach grad and undergrad students and I must say that part of the problem with the media folks is reflected in the students as well -- a deep apathy to knowledge. While technologically we can survive a 95% apathy quotient, I seriously doubt our democracy can survive the appalling lack of curiosity among both the purveyors and consumers of "news".

You are a bright spot in this bleak landscape, however, I think you need at least some company for you to have any effect. What do you think we in the audience can do to help?

(I contemplated cancelling my satellite subscription immediately after the elections, but C-SPAN, Countdown, Bill Maher and Jon Stewart are all available only via subscription TV and of course, this land of the free and the brave is neither to allow us to pick whichever channels we want to subscribe to...)
