Please only vote in this poll if you DID NOT vote for DK in the primaries.

3. He got no press
The general public had no idea who he was. I liked him, but I didn't think he had enough character to win over the media or the public.

4. Hard for me to trust anyone
who has held the belief that women don't deserve privacy over their bodies, pregnant or otherwise. Changing your stance in time to run for President didn't fool anyone. Sorry! I liked his ideas, but the issue of choice is huge to me.

5. For me, it was his plan for the government to cover alternative "medicine"
I'm sorry, but I don't want my tax dollars paying to wave holly branches over the body of some crystal-clutcher to heal their aura, when what they really need is physical therapy and some ibuprofen.

Nobody should be tricked by the government into using placebos just because they're cheaper than evidence-based medicine, no matter how warm and fuzzy inside voo-doo makes them feel. People deserve real medical treatment from their government, not a visit to Miss Cleo.

Either Kucinich is an airhead, or he's more interested in cutting costs than in actually healing the sick.

This whole idea of exempting alternative medicine from FDA review was the idea of Orin Hatch-- the same guy who snuck Nutrasweet past the FDA-- both due to bribery by huge lobbying interests.

6. No instant runoff ballots and primaries are not held on the same day

8. On the issues I liked Kucinich
A was probably more in synch on the issues with Kucinich than with any of the other candidates. For a legislative office I'd vote for the guy in a heartbeat.

When I'm looking to support a candidate for an executive office however, I like to support someone who's shown something in his or her background that shows me he might actually be able to do the job in the unlikely event that he actually wins. Kucinich's one executive experience was as mayor of Cleveland and that, from what I've heard was a disaester.

Bottom line, I love they guy but not for president.

10. In the era of televised media, the guy would get slaughtered
and everybody knows it.

As for me, I can't stand authoritarian leftists. Even if it's only a couple issues, I am extremely wary.

11. If you really want honest answers, don't skew the poll.....

Crappy poll Cheswick....not hard to tell you were not a DK supporter...this is pretty lame......I'd say damn close to flamebait.

I voted for DK in the primaries and thus am not voting in this ridiculous poll.

12. It IS flamebait
And there's now a whole series of these threads. Nothing like bashing candidates and inciting arguments about how crappy they all supposedly were, huh?
