Coronation protest in Anchorage
My husband and I joined a small (50-75) but enthusiastic bunch of Alaskans protesting the coronation tonight on one of Anchorage's busiest intersections between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. We got a few curses and middle fingers from the commuters, but many more honks and waves. All in all, it felt like a successful gathering, and if I can figure out how to do it, I'll post some photos.

For you Alaskans, Channel 2 News (NBC) was there and will be broadcasting a report on the nightly news at 10:00.

2. We got good TV coverage
Nice shots of mine and my husband's backs. :) I actually liked our local news coverage. They showed just a minute or two of the actual "coronation," quite a bit of the protest in DC, and then cut to our local protest, actually interviewing a couple of people. It was nice to get a little respect here -- especially considering Alaska allegedly went about 2/3 to **.

5. Sign up with Alaskans for Peace & Justice
who sponsored this for future events. They send out an e-newsletter every week or so with events, movies, etc.
