CNN Painting the SotU as the Beginning of Bush v. Dean.
Edited on Tue Jan-20-04 10:16 PM by robsul82
Interesting little bit here, CNN's coverage (I don't know about any other channels) is citing alleged example after example of Bush taking shots at Dean and "setting up what will - could be a great debate later this year." Weird.

Later.

4. Get Dean?
If they are setting up a Dean vs Bush, I would guess that means they are pushing Dean right now. I still think Dean can win in New Hampshire, I acknowledge my candidate will not.

6. A wild thought
I know NH is supposed to be more liberal than many states, but with Dean, Clark, Kerry and Edwards all appearing as viable liberal candidates (to varying degrees), your candidate Joe could be right there in the thick of things.

5. On NBC it was Bush v Kerry
Tom Brady and the DOMA line were linked to Massacusetts and Kerry. Then Kerry was interviewed directly after.

10. The big winner here? JOHN KERRY
Bush gives a radically rightwing speech in an attempt to contrast himself with Dean, making himself look out of touch with America. John Kerry 1 Shrub 0.
