Your favorite moment of this primary season thus far?
Edited on Sun Dec-21-03 11:37 PM by mb7588a
IMO, I have to say there is a tie between:

A.) Kerry saying Bush's Iraq policy is a "fuck up," because that was just so brutally honest and perfect.

and

B.) Making fun of this kid:
Ok sorry, its just too easy. (Not Dean flamebait, but nerd flamebait. I myself am a nerd who resembled this kid a few years ago.)

Feel free to expand the subject to things like saddest (how mean we are to each other and the fantastic candidates), most shocking (Clark's voting record?), most likely to win in a boxing match (kerry v. clark final round! OooOoOOoo, that'd be splendid!), etc...

edit: spelling

4. 2 favorite moments...
1) Clark putting FAUX reporter David Asman in his place for trying to twist his words.

2) Dean's response during the Q & A after an economic policy speech where the guy asking the question had phony numbers, was antagonistic towards Dean, and then blamed 9/11 and terrorism for the debt. And Dean responded, "Oh really??, I thought the 3 trillion dollars in tax cuts had something to do with it" and the guy walked off.

Sharpton breaking into James Brown tunes in the SNL monologue was just too classic. :)

14. hardy harhar!
"Five thousand years ago, Moses said, "Hitch up your camel. Pick up your shovel. Mount your ass. I will lead you to the promised land.

Five thousand years later, Franklin Roosevelt said, "Light up a Camel. Lay down your shovel. Sit on your ass. This is the promised land.

Today, George Bush will lay off your camel, tax your shovel, kick your ass and tell you there is no promised land."

10. hmmmmm
For pure amusement I would have to go with big all and his Slap the donkey remark.

The big hook for me though was Deans speech at the CA convention where
made the crowd stand up and cheer the up till then mostly unknown govenor with his "What I want to know" speech at that time in history it was exactly what needed to be said and I remember the lump of hope it brought to my throat that perhaps the democratic party hadn't died after all.

13. Yep that was THE moment of this year
and it will replayed over and over when Dean wins the nomination.

I've met countless supporters who chose Dean at that moment.

Also, the MTV debate where Sharpton lashed in Dean after the confederate flag flap...that was a hoot.

15. Probably
Clark vs faux news when they tried to smear him aka smackdown video. But there have been many moments when other candidates have made biting commentary on our current leader. Some of the Sharpton moments have been priceless.

16. The Clark smackdown of the
Faux reporter and then the report by a DUer where he seemed amazed that a reporter would act like that.

My favorite line the entire campaign was Al Sharpton's in one debate where he said the first thing he would do as President was to nake sure that Bush was out of the White House and then change the locks. His line was much funnier but I can't recall the exact quote.

That's when President Dean announced. I especially liked how those Dean supporters covered up that Nader sign with lots of Dean signs. (no offense to Greens, of course.)

22. Dean's February speech that finally gave me hope for our party.
Other than that, it must have been Kerry's "Dean, Dean, Dean, Dean, Dean" comment.

was the day Clark announced that he was running. My second favorite was Clark's interview on FAUX NEWS and his smackdown of the asshole who was interviewing him.
