NY state Republicans NOT on board the GOP's "topple Hillary" campaign
...strategists also say that the unusually open support she is enjoying among Republicans highlights a lack of party discipline that has been plaguing the New York Republican Party in recent years.

Mr. Miringoff said that many rank-and-file Republicans apparently felt they had less to lose in bucking the party leadership than in straining relations with a highly popular United States senator.

2. I think of the avg. NY Republican as being closer to NJ'ian C.T.Whitman...
...and if George Bush is driving people like Whitman away from the party, you just know that he's driving lots of NY'ers toward thinking of themselves as only fair weather Republicans, and Hillary is right there ready to hand those voters an umbrella.

She may disappoint a lot of Dems here, but she's probably doing more to consolidate medium-long term Democratic security in NY than many other Democratic politicians in their states.

Not saying that I want to see her running for Prez in '08 either. I'm just saying I like watching her work her mojo in NY. She and Chuck are a great team, and as soon as they get their new governor, I think Michigan should challenge New York to game of beach volleyball to see who has the best Senator-Senator-Governor team in the country.

7. Only one can dream
It would be cool if they all rally behind Hillary and get rid of the people attacking her.

9. I read the article this morning
It seems like Dems here are spending more time attacking her than Republicans. It should occur to these people that may she's just been doing a good job, and though she's not the best candidate for President, she's great for the Senator of New York.
