2. This is great - Talking Points is very widely read
Elizabeth Warren's comments on there are excellent -- too bad Congress and the media don't listen to experts who actually KNOW SOMETHING (but of course, that would get in the way of passing the credit card industry's bill...). The personal stories of people who have had to file are like many I've heard -- tragic.

I hope everybody takes the time to CALL THEIR SENATORS TODAY!! And Joe Biden, to tell him he's got no shot at the Dem Presidential nomination if he doesn't join up with the Dems who are trying to stop this bill! There's still one more day left to defeat this horrible thing.

Biden contact info (Wash, DC office tel.#, fax #, and e-mail link at bottom:

3. He's got a new piece on their now -- great stuff
My favorite part:

"Bankruptcy is not a sexy issue. Supporters of the bill can utter a few paeans to personal responsibility, maybe even refer to filers as “deadbeats." In the end, officials have been able to support these sorts of lobbyist bills without consequences because they believe people just aren’t paying attention. Thus, Joe Biden can continue to entertain his champagne wishes and White House dreams while supporting a bill that is a clear giveaway to credit card companies. Others, like Tom Carper, Mary Landrieu and Ben Nelson can sate key contributors and avoid a headache at minimal political cost."

Well worth reading the whole thing!!
