Hiatus means "break" or "gap" - which would imply that he plans to go back.

Considering the brouhaha which would ensue, further damaging both the BA's "credibility" and that of any RW rag that would hire him, I'd love to see his return - in fact, think I'll stop by the grocery store tonight to stock up on popcorn... just in case.
