1. i don't think, and anybody correct me if i'm wrong...
but i don't think that outsourcing was ever ILLEGAL.

but if you're looking for a piece of legislation that clinton signed, my best guess is the NAFTA agreement (not legislation, but a treaty or trade agreement).

but most freepers would LOVE nafta. sounds like the freeper is just bitching about stuff, and making stuff up.

2. NAFTA
Clinton did sign NAFTA which allows for outsourcing/offshoring to Mexico. After 9/11, companies decided India needs jobs more than AMericans and sent jobs there. Bush did give them tax breaks for it. Dell doesn't pay taxes with that law. Dell actually receives money from the gov for offshoring to India along with other companies. We have to pick up the slack in taxes due to this.

Dems need to shut that down, return jobs here, and let India develope their own companies through the UN. We can't babysit the world.

4. It's not the plan...
India and China's burgeoning economies are too attractive to the multi-national corporations. A lot of money to be made, basically a whole new Industrial Revolution. I do wish the jobs would come back, though, as I am a victim of outsourcing! To be honest, our IT infrastructure would collapse if you removed the Indians. Read the roster of any major medical center and you will see that is the case with a lot of the doctors.

5. Our argument on outsourcing must be...
We want to allow outsourcing to happen to allow growth, BUT we also have to support and retrain workers who loose their jobs. And not be heartless bastards
