unless he had too!" Maybe we'll have a pyramid scheme for indentured servitude...you line up a bunch of "servants" and then rent them out like a labor contractor. No BS from them, no back-talk, and no NLRB (if we even have one anymore). This is beyond pathetic. Oh, I have it, you can run your Debtor's Prisons with my indentured servants, at a tidy profit. Previously creditors were shy about placing garnishments because garnishing the wages of someone poor generally meant they couldnt pay the rent, and bankruptcy soon followed.

Now the poor will face permanent garnishment, which means they will be unemployable. No ability to pay the rent, no place to live, no job, no hope, no ability to start over and make good.

Suicide will be the only way out for a whole new class of debtor.
