Anybody just see Bruce Reed on Inside Politics?
Did Candy ask him why the Democrats caved on the bankrtupcy bill and voted with the banks and credit card companies against their constituents--average Americans?

I bet not.

1. Every time he mentioned the problems with Bush's SS plan
Candy Crawler cut him off to ask him why the Democrats had no solutions to offer. After that, she went off about how Democrats are too combative and not moderate enough.

5. Why Do The Dems Have To Come Up With A Plan?
It wasn't their idea to change it in the first place. Many say the problem is with medicase not ss. So why fix something that ain't broke?

6. Media repeating talking points from the RNC, as usual. Bush has no plan!
Edited on Mon Mar-14-05 04:55 PM by flpoljunkie
Bush has said "all options are on the table", but Cheney said in an interview on Faux News with Carl Cameron regarding whether President Bush would agree to a plan that did not involve "personal accounts" and Cheney said, "Won't happen."

Read it yourself: http://www.foxnews.com/printer_friendly_story/0,3566,150205,00.html

The silence from the media regardig this blatant contradition is, as usual, deafening.

2. Showed Dean surrounded by people...Reed alone telling us what to do.
Dean out with the people, listening to them, working with them. Reed just saying that a lot of us don't get it.

Same old. He was fairly kind to Dean, saying he had done no harm so far.

7. Done no harm? What about all the harm the DLC did to us?
Shut up Reed. The DLC needs to go away. NOW.

8. I just watched his interview again. More details.
He did agree that Howard Dean was doing fine so far. Candy had just quoted and shown the "do no harm" piece. He said as long as Dean remembered that he would be ok. He reminded him (and us) that the chair has very little input.

Before that she asked him what the Democrats message should be. Guess what...it was our plan to keep the country safe.

He said almost these words: We need to put forth our own plan for spreading Democracy around the world. We need to decide which countries we would be willing to use military force against.

That is my main gripe with this group. Our country's job is to defend itself, not spread Democracy.

Of course we all know we are not spreading Democracy, that is just BS.
