Is your Senator or Congressman a Republican? Complain about Delay!
The GOP is VERY worried about Tom Delay, and it looks like they are listening to their constituents on the matter...let's help them decide to do the right thing--pick up that phone, dash off a postcard, or send an email today!!!! http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1037627-3,00.html

After the debacle over the ethics rules, more than a few House members say they can ill afford to put their necks out much farther for DeLay. And their support could erode further—and quickly—if they start hearing complaints about DeLay from their constituents at home. "As members head home, they'll review the various media reports," says Arizona's Hayworth, who has been burned by revelations that he used a skybox supplied by Abramoff for fund raising. "I'm sure that it's in the best interest of the majority leader and the majority to have an accounting of what transpired."

1. Done. Here is my email.
"I was upset about the rule changes earlier in the year to protect this unethical guy. Now this is non-sense that he has even more ethic violations hanging over his head. I would hope you stand up to him and not with him (Delay). If you do not stand up to Delay and tell him to come clean on his past activities, I will consider you complicit and an enabler of this terrible behavior. Please tell me where you stand as far as Delay is concerned.'

2. Excellent!
If enough reps get complaints, they'll be forced to move on that slug. It's past time!

5. Great!
I really think the way to put them on edge is to gripe. Even better if you can tell them you voted for them (even if you didn't) but they lose your vote if they don't bring "honor and dignity" back to the Hill.

May as well lay it on thick--they sure as hell do, at every opportunity!!!

If Delay goes, the whole power structure changes. He's the enforcer, and without him, discipline will break down, and that's good news for our team. They'll all cut and run to their own corners, in a desperate attempt to hold on to their seats.

8. I did call him.
Like commoncause.net said it right, it's up to the Repubs. Roscoe Bartlett is yuck, but not as evil as DeLay, so maybe he'll get it...

7. I know that often there is a touch of hubris involved
...in kicking one's own post, but I really do think this one is important. Also, I know there are many DU members who are (woefully under) represented by GOP legislators. And ole 'big mouth' JD Hayworth basically gave the game away when he let us know that if the GOP crew starts hearing from pissed-off constituents, they are gonna back off.

So again, I implore those of you who suffer under the yoke of GOP representation, please make your voices heard--it will only take a minute to send an email, a postcard, or a few minutes to make a phone call. Lay it on thick; suggest, if you are a registered Dem, that you are a crossover voter...put the fear of God into these greedy bastards!!!

Tip O'Neill said it: all politics is local. If it takes screwing the weecowboy for these fatcat legislators to keep their seats, their perks, their paychecks and their influence, they'll do it...in a heartbeat! But they need to hear from you!

9. My congressman was speaking out against the DeLay
changes but then realized he would get his ass kicked by Janet so who knows where he stands?

He is having town hall meetings next week so I can yell at him then.

Down with JD!
