Anybody know what right wing media is saying about Jesse Jackson today?
I'd be curious if they see his presence as a positive or a negative. They could look at it as a betrayal of the Dems (a positive) or they could see it as a way to discredit their fight for Schiavo (a negative). Considering the right's contempt for Jackson, the latter is certainly a possibility.

1. Sort of doubt anyone is saying anything
especially after the way Jackson got put into his place on Larry King last night.

5. Several other members of the panel
rebuffed almost everything Jackson said with the truth. By the look on Jackson's face you would think he had just eaten a turd. Many times he had no reply, he couldn't without making himself to look more the fool.

3. Rush Limbaugh has positive spin on Jackson
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_032905/content/rush_is_right.guest.html

" ...I speculated in the previous hour that there's something about this, it's not often that the Reverend Jackson deviates from the Democrat Party's official line on this, or the liberal line, and this is a major, major departure and I wondered if it's because he sees this is a bad situation for the Democrats. I mentioned this to Mr. Snerdley and Snerdley says, "Well, wherever there are cameras and dollars or the potential for dollars, you'll find the Reverend Jackson." Now, you know, Mr. Snerdley, you've got to put this stuff aside. He's doing the right thing here, and I don't care. I've often said I don't care, hypocrisy in conservative or liberal side of this or not, it doesn't matter to me, whether somebody is a hypocrite has no impact to me on whether I think this woman ought to be starved to death....

"... Hypocrisy is one thing, but it doesn't kill, and I mentioned to Mr. Snerdley, I said, "He's distancing himself from a lot of Democrats."

He said, "Well, they're very quiet but the Congressional Black Caucus has let it be known they disagree with this." Now, that's interesting. I wonder if Bill Schneider at CNN knows this, and I wonder if a number of other media types know the Congressional Black Caucus is actually aligned with the Reverend Jackson on this...."

4. Trust me, they will find a way to spin it to their favor-
"Look, even Jesse Jackson, who is a real Christian, supports our view".
And the Dems will get all defensive and distance themselves from Jackson, proving yet again that we have a fractious party.

6. Oh, I agree with that. I just wonder what they are saying behind closed
doors. If Jackson is a bad advocate for their case, he can hurt them.

8. The Limbaugh transcript says the Congressional Black Caucus is with Jesse
on this issue. Is there any independent verfication of that? It could be another one of Limbaugh's misstatements.

Black Leaders Split on Schiavo Case

Of the 23 members of the Congressional Black Caucus who voted -- 17 did not attend -- 10 supported the Republican-sponsored bill. They included Jesse Jackson, Jr., D-Ill., and Albert Wynn, D-Md., who in a statement said it was a "question of conscience."
