2. Iran is a huge country with huge population- the biggest one we'd be
taking on since Japan. Invading would tear the country apart (ours, that is).

4.  is this re claims of Ritter or a new source?
Personally, I think invasion is very unlikely.

Missle attacks on limited targets, maybe. But only if Bush can get everyone whipped up about Iran's nuclear threat.

An invasion of Iraq would take a lot of pre-positioning. For a June attack it seems they are already out of time to organize that.

10. I don't think Bush would do that
I know there's a lot of things that I thought he wouldn't do but he did, but invading Iran would basically be impossible. We don't have enough troops and money (we hardly have enough for this current war).

11. they will not invade
they just plan a massive arial assault on all their nuclear stuff , major weapons systems ect...........

this is why they wanted to build those mini nuke bunker busters,
they will use nukes which will be really really bad.

13. A republican wouldn't win for another 100 years if Bush invades Iran.
There is no way Bush could win a war with Iran without a draft. Even if he only bombs them and doesn't invade, Iran will send weapons to the Iraqi resistance.

Ritter, Sy Hersh, and Jim Jeffords, all of whom have said we already have plans to attack Iran in June.

Afghanistan and Iraq both border Iran and were needed as staging areas for the war against Iraq.

21. Anyone who thinks there is no way this can happen...
should read these remarks by Jim Jeffords (Vermont Independent Senator.) He believes the Bushies have made plans to go to war in Iran to help elect Jeb in 2008. We know that these people will do ANYTHING to stay in power...I think this is a subject that should be taken very seriously.

Jeffords, who opposes the war in Iraq, predicted the Bush administration would start a war in Iran to help elect a third member of the Bush clan to the White House.

“I think it was all done to get oil,” Jeffords said of invading Iraq. “And the loss of life that we had, and the cost of it, was to me just a re-election move, and they're going to try to live off it. Probably start another war, wouldn't be surprised, next year. Probably in Iran.”

“Do you think that's likely?” VPR host Bob Kinzel asked.

“I probably shouldn't even talk on it, I just feel so bitter about the thinking that's gone on behind them, and the reasons they go to war and went to war,” Jeffords replied. “But I feel very strongly that they are looking ahead, and that there will be an opportunity to go into Iran and try to get their son elected president. I don't know, but you do it each time they (are) going to have a new president. I’m very, very (Jeffords chuckles). Oh, well, I better be quiet.”
