Conference call with Rep. Kucinich
I'm on a Democrats Abroad conference call this very moment with:
Dennis Kunich in New Hampshire

Oxford, Cambridge, Columbia, Japan, Hong Kong, Paris, Bruxelles, Tolouse, Austria, Ireland, Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, Mexico and the Scottish highlands

It is exciting to hear democrats coming on worldwide. Dennis is starting...

Thanks democrats abroad, and our committment to this country.

As president of teh US, i would take this ocuntry in a proofound new direction. affirmative structure of international law... nuclear abolition... Ending nukes, all weapons... program of global nuclear abolition. Sign biological weapons convetion chemical weapons land mines kyoto.

Aids, affirming rights men women... All trade agreements to have human rights, worker rights. Block all trade in services.

Engage constructively palestineans and israelis. Economic autonomy, viability, palestinean state, housing helthcare, infrastructure. Leaders of both sides come together, end settlements, end terrorism ripping region apart... agreements in water rights, reciproity, mutual security. Borders, rigth of return.

Us must end policy of occupation in iraq. Steps to US out of iraq. UN in... nothing to do with 9/11 or WMD.. wrong to go in, wrong to stay in. Ask the UN to administer oil, US stops its profitization of iraq oil.

Works from principals of world as one, world is interconnected. Peaceful approach makes world entirely seccure

First question: death penalty: opposed as president abolish
Bogota: drug issues - US electorate ready for drugs reform? - a drugs problem is a medical problem, end in criminalization, no judgement and stop filling prisons. I move to suspending mandatory minimums and ending 3 strikes... more.. posting this part now.

1. more..
no child left behind act... test based approach should be revisited. Universal kindergarten 3-5 early start for gaps i race and class. Reading skills social skills. Nutritioin.

60 billion funding from 15% bloated pentagon cut

Fully fund secondary education act... massive WPA? type programme.

cancel bush tax cuts... question of priorities... his is education.

Iraq: only canddiate to oppose bush on iraq... bush is making it a centerpiece of his campaign... how odd.. and dennis feels he is the best candidate to opppose. He lead the HOuse 126 democrats to oppose this war. The old tired rhetoric that kept us in viet nam all that stuff is being said now... they're all wrong. Others are for teh war and the occupation, so they have no.

It is a sorry misadventure, for controlling oil, ... skip...

2. more...
Religious groups question about bush and the xtians: It is certainly a burden when only one person is supposed to do gods work (laughter) John kennedy... gods work is our own.

Teachings "i believe" connect us to all humanity. Universality is all divine principals. As president i would embrace all beliefs and non-beliefs... human unity is integral, the common metaphor for all religions. Out of many 1 (eplurabus unum). Many faiths under freedom of religion... a pluralistic society... founders separation of church and state... founders did not say that there should be no spiritual values... eye of divine providence... natures god... great seal... eye of divine providence... Lating for "she has savoured our undertaking" spritual principals... not in a way thtat is didactic.

Not cause this country to be lead in a direction that favours one approach over another. WE need to consider all the possibilities.

Japan Q: ICC, environmental agreement... your first act as president regarding WTO leaving nafta leaving.? The era of these agreements is past. Global corporations exceed teh size of the nations that cliam to trade in that framework... corporations use slave labour, prison labour, child labour... labour rights are not secure at all. Ruining the air and environment... The corps use the WTO to block workers rights as a barrier to trade and to ruin the environment.

He would move to making trade in the eye "the world is one" People depend on the US to put principals behind our commerce.

UK Oxford Q: environment.. beyond kyoto what additional agreements to get senate ratify... explaining kyoto. Whole new energy initiative 20% renewable portfolio, solar, wind, green... conservation effort... like JFK did... Through IMF and world bank to discourage the building of these old technologies. They are pushing the old stuff. We don't have any credibility with other nations unless we take a different approach.

Kyoto offers a path. Affirming principal "resacrilization" of the globe... the air water and land are not apart from us. It is our responsibility as americans and ctizens of the world to each other.

Q Thank you. I can move this country in a direction to rejoin the world.

4. postscript
His voice sounded tired, but as he got in to a chat with these democrats outside the US, the sparkle and inspiration came on.... his work in the house clearly makes him very credible.

He made the brilliant ideas heard to the world, where they are not heard very much... the power in the phone call was brilliant. He is putting down the gauntlet on fair trade, justice and honesty towards the audience most bruised by the status quo.

I hope this typo'd transcript is an inspiration.

Dennis you rock the world! :)

6. Thank you!
That account, disjointed as it was, conveyed one of the reasons I support Dennis, his sense of vision of what America could be.

7. He does indeed rock the whole world!
Thanks so much for posting this... I hope a transcript is available.

This man would revolutionize this country, no doubt about it.

I'd LOVE to see the media TRY to spin him to America. They succeed now because they have plenty of other candidates to fuzz the picture with. Imagine the contrast with only Kucinch vs. Bush.

Thanks again, sweetheart. :)
