Deep Thoughts from Tom DeLay
Though it's probably been mentioned more than once, I couldn't sign off tonight without noting the national absurdity that is Tom DeLay.

He has "charged" Supreme Court Justice Kennedy with making judgments based on international law and doing some of his own research on the internet.

No one outside of Tom DeLay's imaginary circle of friends can cite any clause in the Constitution that relegates that authority to a member of the House.

No one, including his very real monetary friends, will step up to cite his authority to threaten a Supreme Court Justice.

No one, I assume, understands the internet comment...

He is who he is.

Stubborn, belligerent, short sighted, poorly suited for membership in the House, not nearly qualified to perform a legal review in any shape or form, an embarrassment to the Congress and a likely accessory to fraud.

I really hope that's enough for someone in Congress to call this charade off.

3. I don't know. Hear he was routinely hooted in the TX legislature. Seems he
got a call from the money folks down there and they bankrolled his place in the US House. A second tier Bush, I figure.

2. The bigger problem
If this story is relegated to the 3rd segment after Michael Jackson and the Popecam, nobody will care.

Since TV only reports entertainment news now, the general public will never know what he's done.

It just looks like people are picking on him. And this is where the line "Liberal Press" will come up again. Look, there they go again saying he did something. If they had facts, they'd report on it, but the segment was 30 seconds and sandwiched in between Michael Jackson, and pictures of some local kid sledding with their dog. It must not REALLY be important, or my news person would tell me so.

If we actually had press coverage of NEWS, there would be information on his statements, his voting record, the money he gets and its source.

So, no matter what a bastard he's being, it is not being picked up on the American radar.

5. Justice Kennedy should issue a restraining order
The media might put that out.
