Bolton Has Qualities to Harm the Image and Objectives in the U.N.
25 April 2005

In an email to the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Frederick Vreeland, a former U.S. ambassador to Morocco, and former colleague of John Bolton’s said Bolton “"has all the qualities needed to harm the image and objectives in the U.N. and its affiliated international organizations. If it is now U.S. policy not to reform the U.N but to destroy it, Bolton is our man.”

Vreeland, who worked with Bolton in the early 1990s under the first President Bush, said Bolton "dealt with visitors to his office as if they were servants with whom he could be dismissive, curt and negative."

"He spoke of the U.N. as being the enemy," Vreeland added in the e-mail sent Friday to Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden). The e-mail was first reported by Time magazine. "It is totally erroneous to speak of Bolton as a diplomat."

1. The only thing Bolton has going for him
is that he would be loved by political cartoonists everywhere.
Other than that, he proves himself to be more and more of an asshole from the perspective of everyone under him. I don't care how smart he "supposedly" is.

2. I always thought that was his plan
Bolton's plan, I think, is to get rid of the UN. They can't have the UN because they want more war's.

3. All the better reason to nominate the guy, right?
I mean, what would have been the sense to make a rational decision on this nomination, when there was the opportunity to proffer a real shit bird guy like this?

It is clear that they are using shit like the nomination of bolton and the frist deal to distract the public from the problem in Iraq and the failed Social Security deal.
