Ask them publicly: if you don't believe in god, do you deserve to exist?
The war is on.

To far too many believers, those who believe deserve this world, and those of us who don't are evil by nature. Much as the extremist believers hate the perceivable world, tarring non-believers as evil and disavowing all earthly pleasures as wicked, those of us who live on the mortal plane need to protect the weak and ourselves; for us, there is no "out", and we want this conscious world to work for all. The stridently righteous demand that all cleave to their assumptions, and they tend to piss on any fun.

Hate is the currency of certainty. Certainty and selfishness are the soul of conservatism. Tolerance and coexistence are the dream of decent people, as long as they respect the rights of others.

We are in big trouble.

How bad is it?

1. Interesting!
Worth some thought. If the answer is "no," what is the (final) solution?

2. We already know
the bush cabal doesn't consider us patriots or americans.
That says enough for me.

3. Yes, we atheists are Public Enemy Number One
But so is any believer who doesn't subscribe to their particular dogma. We'll be the first targetted, like the disabled and gays were by the Third Reich. But then they'll turn to the others who don't toe the "Fristian" line.

8. The doe-eyed believers in the frowned-upon guesses will suffer the most
They and their soul-mates will be the least able to cope with their marginalization and doom.

Being on the outside has its advantages: they're always trying to dismiss or hurt us, so we know it's coming. For those of true belief that happen to subscribe to a GUESS that's outside of the agreed-upon orthodoxy, retaliations will be most painful.

Never underestimate the vehemence of the certain. They hate doubt and acceptance, and they'll rise up with shocking power.

4. Isn't their stance exactly what they accuse the Muslim extremists of?
With a smile, remark in public that they should declare a "Jihad" against those not of the faith.

Use all of the Islamic militant lingo you can think of and hold this mirror up high for all to see and enjoy.

7. Hatred of others is the cradle of civilization
If you can't keep the ugly at bay, then how can you raise your kids to follow you? Since they're so organized, we'd better get our act together. Hey, I didn't waste all this time raising kids if they're not going to worship me and my values.

Except for combating the environment, virtually all technological advancements came from wars, and those only happen when some barbarians are at the gate.

Not knowing everything is the fear of all ignorant people; thus, those folks always have all the answers. Competing groups must be destroyed, especially if they're organized.

The concept of god gives one's bigotries and close-minded assumptions unassailability, and that's pure gold.

9. Those hypocrites have never seen anyone come back from the dead
So just how can they be sure they won't go to hell! I know damned good and well where I'm going; and it's a 6 foot hole in the ground. Those radicals don't believe all the garbage themselves that they spew all the time; just look how afraid all of them are of dying. If they're supposed to go to this great and wonderful hereafter, why are they so afraid to die? Just a bunch of hogwash as far as I'm concerned. :evilfrown: :+
