Kerry campaign tops Dean, Edwards in fundraising
Edited on Fri Jan-23-04 04:19 PM by Feanorcurufinwe
Well there were a lot of contradictory numbers being bandied about yesterday on fundraising figures, mostly because they were all using different timeframes. But this AP story actually gives a side-by-side comparison:

"I think what Dean is probably witnessing right now is the shift. What fueled his campaign, especially a lot of his contributions, was the party was pretty united against the war in Iraq," Davis said. "Now they want to beat Bush."

<snip>

Despite his third-place Iowa showing, by Friday afternoon, Dean had raised at least $750,000 of the $1 million he asked donors to give before New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation primary Tuesday.

Kerry and Edwards have also seen hundreds of thousands of dollars come in this week.

Like Dean, Iowa winner Kerry is trying to raise $1 million this week. The campaign had collected at least $860,000 over the Internet by Friday afternoon. Edwards raised at least $560,000 online since Monday night.

His old frat brothers? What's the typical donation to Kerry, the max $2000?

3. I think the important point isn't how much you have raised
It is how much you have left after NH.

5. I'm not gonna repost the articles from yesterday
but they indicated that the Kerry campaign is pretty focused at this point on the February 3rd states... that's where this money will be going...
