Will Bush Just End Up a Joke Of History?
Looks like they may actually happen. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. I wondered there for a while - but I think he may just be plain stupid.

Can you imagine how Rove must have felt after that joke of a press conference? Boy Genius, indeed. More like just plain old Right Wing sucker.

The agenda is becoming more and more visable to just about everyone - and that's a very good thing.

31. Not "dead baby jokes", and that's precisely what he'll be:
A reckless, incompetent killer of the weak for his personal gain. Dead baby jokes work upon relieving the fear of the uncomfortable, and he will be a pariah for years to come.

History will view this man with embarrassment and disgust, and even those of us in the middle phase of life will live long enough to see the ignominy. May he live to be a hundred and ten, so his narcissistic greed-filled selfish soul can experience the full brunt of his public failure.

Here's my own personal jokes to regale friends and acquaintances: "So, George Bush walks into a bar...fuckin' kills everybody." Try it; it works.

The punch line for all the good jokes in the last 3/4 of the 21st century will be "George W Bush"

3. The joke's on us, and...
it's not very funny.

If we actually survive this as a nation, Shrub will go down in history as our worst President. Massive destruction and not one positive achievement.

At least Harding and Reagan didn't get us into war.

8. I agree 100% TB...
Worst pReznit EVER. IF there is anything positive about this shameful administration, it will be that in spite of it we were able to right the ship after it. But it will be a cleanup like Love Canal in terms of the economic, ecological, social, and foreign relations damage that has occurred. (Am I leaving anything out?) And that's IF we can get rid of them in '08, which given Diebold (what's in a name, huh) may be optimistic, but optimism is all we have right now!!

50. The jokes on us? So true! last thursday medicaid hit going unnoticed.
04/29/05 WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Congress passed a $2.6 trillion budget Thursday that would cut back Medicaid as a step toward trimming federal deficits.

It instructs Congress to freeze or cut spending in many domestic programs outside of defense and homeland security and to restrain farm, student loan, pension and some other government programs that grow automatically from year to year.

House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, R-Texas, said it's time to look closely at benefit programs that are "popular but rife with waste."

"These entitlement programs deserve reform," he said. "The Medicaid system is antiquated and the quality of care is not being brought to the people that need it."

The Senate voted 52-47 to approve the blueprint of tax and spending priorities hours after the House passed it 214-211.

After the House vote, President Bush praised the budget resolution. "This is a responsible budget that reins in spending to limits not seen in years," he said in a written statement.

Democrats blasted the planned cuts and expressed doubt that the budget's projections of shrinking deficits would happen.

"This budget is an assault on our values," House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California said.

Republicans said the plan to shrink spending only nicks
($2.6 trillion)rapidly growing benefit programs, which will continue growing but at a slightly slower rate.

10. I didn't mean a joke as in "funny"
I meant a joke as in "ridiculous."

I think this may all go down as a perfectly ridiculous time in our history. A time when idiots somehow got in control and ran with the ball.

And it should be a lesson to all of us. We were taking everything for granted - and in these perilous times that is a huge mistake.

9. No, I don't think so at all...
I don't believe he will be seen as a "good" or "great" president by any stretch of the imagination.

But Bush HAS produced results, and those results are what will remain when he's long gone to his "eternal reward."

He really, really took care of his "base." He made the rich much richer. Thanks to his support (or lack of willingness to curtail) outsourcings, jobs bled out of America like a stuck pig. The more jobs were exported, the more CEOs were rewarded for it.

My kids, your kids, everybody's kids and grandkids will be working to pay back the tax cuts that were given to his "base."

We attacked a country that didn't attack us first, that had NO proven involvement in 9/11, while the man who stepped up and CLAIMED responsibility sat back in his little hidey-hole and continued to make video tapes that mocked us.

Bush is no joke.

If the intelligentsia (that doesn't flee the country) is burned at the stake, Bush will be second in greatness only to Reagan.

Otherwise, yes he'll be a tragic joke.

Look at what a disaster Reagan was, but he's treated like a saint in our right-wing dominated era. Hell, I've even caught conservatives trying to redeem Hoover (on Fox, print media, the History Channel, etc.).

32. I Caught That.... The EEEIIIdiot Himself Said That In Answer
to a question put to him by Bob Woodward.

THIS is just a small example of the backward thinking this Dick-Tatter uses.

Just like when asked a question at this last new conference. A reporter asked him a question that he apparently didn't want to answer and he said "that sounds pretty personal, lets' not get personal here", or something like that! I only saw a clip of that interaction so I'm sure my quite isn't exact, but the meaning is the same.

By the time His Corruptness is done with this country, I don't think it will be a laughing matter, but HE will!

20. Political losses
Some great choreographer has been handling the Republican program since before 2000 and against all odds has done a marvelous job. It reminds me of the "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast, only better technique and technical programming.
Use a political name puppet who can be created to do and say what he is supposed to for the lead, get him in WH by any means available and start the real program. The religious right are the ripest apple on the ignorance tree, and right behind them are all the other "anti" crowd!
These are already trained personalities that will believe anything that sounds like something they have ever agreed with. It's like: "Do you like chocolate?" (to a dieter) "Well if you do then this man * has the power to let you have all you want and it won't hurt you."
So now a lot of non-voting people believe he was sent for them and they hit the next election in loaded church busses and hold the voting booths and precincts up for hours. The tough second act, though, is to keep the puppet from hamming things up by not reading the script every moment. (Time for another trip to TX outback!)
The script is closing in to the last act and if everything on the set is in place,(and the Dems are in check so far) this country will no longer be the most foolish free democratic nation!
One more thing, if all fails every one is safe because at least the judiciary can't be changed back in time to convict anyone!

24. A JOKE?
A JOKE? Are you freaking kidding me?! I thought everyone who posted here had at least most of the facts. With more than 150.000 Iraqis and more than 1,500 U.S. troops dead for a war that should have NEVER happened, grotesque, illegal atrocities committed by our own military against prisoners of war and detainees whose guilt or innocent still remain unknown, annihilation of our civil liberties in America and global economic and environmental catastrophe? That ever-lengthening list isn't going down in the history books as anything as anything funny.
