Christian Conservative Zealots in this country are freaking idiots

and serious threats to the Constitution. Every day I hear them on American Family Radio (dobson's all hate all the time) whining about how Christians are persecuted in "other" countries. That's true, but what is the proposed solution of those who hate in the name of Jesus Christ? Make our country just like the countries they are whining about, hotbeds for religious persecution. If the constitution haters have their way there will be zero tolerance for anything in this country that isn't biblical in nature. Their goal is to persecute all non christians. They are domestic enemies of the Constitution, there can be no doubt.

6. Know thine enemy

I think it is important that we get riled up about what they are doing and keep abreast of what's going inside their heads. I know I can tune in for a few minutes between 10 and 11 Central time and get enough hate and vitriol to keep me fired up. I spent 24 years supporting and defending the constitution. I'm still on the lookout for its enemies. I truly believe those people are totally ignorant of the value and importance of the Constitution in their own lives, regardless of their religious "beliefs."

3. Not the country I grew up in....

perhaps Christians are persecuted in other countries because they are trying to shove their religion down the peoples' throats...or aid the Christian organizations provide has to come with a healthy dollop of old time religion...they can't simply help people just to help them, as Jesus would have

4. Sure. They want each nation to have its own state religion, not tolerance

The muslims have theirs, the jews have theirs, the catholics have theirs, and guess which religion the US belongs to?

It's a different idea of fairness: majority rule, and if the minority doesn't like it, they can go to "their" country. It's the fairness where country A ethnically cleanses itself of the Bs and country B cleanses itself of the As.

It's not my America.

7. And of course, the problem is that we have all those....

religions, and as long we keep each of them out of government we are fine...it just amazes me that when you consider how smoothly the economy and pretty much everything else was humming along under Clinton (and I was no big Clinton fan) that anyone including religious nuts and neo-cons would want things the way they are now...just shows you how intent they are on forcing their beliefs on everyone else
