SAN DIEGO RADIO STATION talks about the MEMO for 30 minutes!
On the morning Stacy Taylor radio show on KLSD 1360, Stacy read portions of the secret “Downing Street”
memo and discussed its implications, mainly the fact that our “President” and his buddy Tony Blair
lied to the nation and Congress in order to force us into war.

There were many callers (myself included) who spoke on the air and thanked Stacy for his brave
coverage of such a hot topic. One caller desperately implored Stacy to simplify the treasonous
implications revealed by the Downing Street secret memo and translate the most poignant facts
into an instantly easy-to-understand fashion so that when he talks about the secret memo on air,
the truth grabs the common man’s attention and fills him with a sense of outrage. After all, this IS
very big news and there “should” be mass public outrage over this shameless treason committed
not only against the people of America, but the ENTIRE WORLD.

I mentioned the article written by Bill Gallagher (a Peabody Award winner and former Niagara Falls
city councilman who now covers Detroit for Fox2 News). As it turns out, Stacy already had a
copy in hand and read portions of it. I don’t remember which parts he read, but here are some
choice clips from the article at http://www.niagarafallsreporter.com/gallagher213.html

"Are Americans so jaded about the deceptions perpetrated by our own government to lead us into
war in Iraq that we are no longer interested in fresh and damming evidence of those lies?"
George W. Bush lied to the world when he said he sought peace in Iraq and war was a "last resort."

All the subsequent moves -- asking for a UN Security Council resolution, more weapons inspections,
Bush's speeches to Congress and the case he presented to the American people -- were all ruses,
hollow lies
. He and his buddy Blair were already committed to war and their words in public were
meaningless. The die was cast.”

I encouraged the KLSD listeners to visit Progressive Democrats of America’s website for a copy of
Will Pitt's press release. If you would like to write a letter of encouragement and thank Bill Gallagher
for the incredible article he wrote, his email address is gallaghernewsman@sbcglobal.net

1. The neocons are all over this, claiming that this was the only
possible course of action, equating anything else with the pre WWII appeasement of Hitler. It's the latest revision of Iraq invasion history.
See this week's "timely" New Yorker article with Feith.

3. So what. The president lied to get us into war. He lied. If it was the
only option, they should have said so. But then, they probably would have lost a lot of senate seats during the election.

Another thing no one has noticed - never has a "war" president been defeated. Bush lied to start a war and it seems it's more political than anything else. He lied so he could be called the "War President" during the last election. Think about this. 8,000 dead US soldiers so he can claim he is a war president and get reelected.

11. worse yet, he lied so that Pukkkes could do well in the MIDTERMS
not even a prez election at stake. That's how he feels about our soldiers. waste em for a few House seats, then cut their benefits.

2. Was that you? I was listening. Good job.
I sure wish Sirius would pick up his show - I think that it is syndicated (or does he work directly for Clear Channel)?

7. Start at at the local markets. This is what we got to do.
There was a good article on DailyKos about hitting the small media markets. The comment was that we keep trying to hit the home runs in the major media markets. But you are more likely to have success with the smaller markets. Start there, not with the Post or Times. Rove can't track every media outlet.

12. Recommended for THIS quote ALONE: "Huge animals have been
brought down by ants."

I think we ALL ought to have that written across the top of our computer screens and bathroom mirrors.

I salute you! I will remember this when I get discouraged (like I've been struggling against for most of this day).
