"i voted bush because i could have been an abortion!"
of all the reasons i've heard for voting for bush -- and i've heard more than a few doozies -- this one takes the cake.

one of mrs. unblock's gay friends (they call her their 'fag hag') was adopted, and for all he knows, his birth mother might have considered having an abortion, but, obviously, carried him to term instead.

therefore he voted for bush.

i just don't know where to begin with that impeccable logic.

:wtf:

1. abortion is natural
In fact, up to 20% of all pregnancies end in spontaneous abortions that the woman doesn't even know about.
So really, we all could have been spontaneously aborted.

2. "I voted Kerry because you should've been an abortion."

would be the obvious nasty response. I know, I know. We're not pro-abortion for stupid people/Bush voters. I only support it if its safe, legal, and frequent.

3. Who wants to be the one to tell him that he IS an abortion.
An abortion of reason and self-preservation.

Wow. I'm not sure there's ANY good reason to vote for Bush.

Is there?

6. How about
the number of abortions has increased since Bush took office. It's a bit of a stretch, but I suppose that using the kind of logic he seems to appreciate, in a sense, you could say that Bush has caused abortions, not prevented them. Or, in other words, his mother would have been more likely to have aborted him under Bush than under Clinton.

8. Did he ever consider that she couldn't afford an abortion?
Or perhaps that she couldn't afford to keep him and decided it was best to give him up so he could have a good life?

Or perhaps it was medically contraindicated that she have an abortion?

Or perhaps that it was against her religion, even though not against the law (don't know his age).

Or perhaps that she loved the father and didn't want to destroy the product of that love?

Many possible scenarios here.

10. So.....
what does he think about all those soldier and civilian deaths in Iraq? Especially the children who have died because of bush!
Does he think the Iraqi children are all happy about bush and fell all warm and fuzzy and safe?

15. The Correct Answer is.....
Yeah, but Bush has the House, Senate, and the Supreme Court. They have the power to outlaw abortions if they wanted to. It's been five years, and he has done nothing. I guess the jokes on you!

16. I was born and put up for adoption
So, I definnitely could have been an abortion if it was legal in 69. Don't think that doesn't occasionally test my pro-life/pro choice views on the world but I've come to the conclusion that safe, legal and rare is the only way to go.
