1. I've always had a flag outside my house

I make no apologizes for being a liberal and a patriot.

There was a column in The Nation just after 9/11 about how uncomfortable the writer was with the U.S. flag, so she flew a world flag. I think that's crap and symbols are too important to be left in the hands of right wing idiots.

I will not let the symbol of my country be taken by reactionary thugs.
