Arnie's special election: GOP trying to pull a coup in California
This special election is designed for one thing: to attack the Democrats. And the Dems in that state will be forced to spend a ton of money to try to counter this coup -- money that would be better spent on a whole lot of other things.

Why are the people of California not getting on Arnold's case because he dropped the Enron lawsuit? Do they think that it's ok they got ripped off for billions of dollars?

1. Why Sue Enron?
the whole energy debacle was Gray Davis' fault.

2. Sometimes I just feel like saying
fuck it - idiots get what they deserve. However it really sucks that the rest of us get dragged down with them. The best thing we can do is educate people on the vile, sick, evil, greedy, criminal, and corrupt tactics of the Republican party.

6. How is he able to do it?
I thought the only way to get a referendum on the ballot was either to get many signatures or have the legislature put it on the ballot.

7. Not a Bit of It
Even the Rethuglican Media has to admit that Groper's ratings have tanked.
He never got many votes from around here anyway, but now even
his base in southern California is jumping ship.

Maybe we should fight fire with fire. TOTAL RECALL II!

8. Arnie's big boner is his copying of Colorado's TABOR of 1992
Edited on Mon Jun-13-05 08:54 PM by EVDebs
Arnold made no secret of his support for a Colorado-style Taxpayer Bill of Rights of 1992 a.k.a TABOR. The Cato Institute has been pushing for this in many states as of late.

See www.idtaxreform.com/TABOR/TABORgoal.htm which has links to Gov Schwarzenegger's support. Also see OMBWatch's articles on this subject at

http://www.ombwatch.org/article/articleview/2842/1/342/

and

http://www.ombwatch.org/article/articleview/2776/1/91?TopicID=1

this second one calls TABOR a "disaster". So, this is what Arnold has planned for California.

Gutting education, as Colorado is doing is already happening in California. If "Big Business" wants this they should also want to read what Arnold's economic advisor has to say. Warren Buffett is on record as saying corporations, especially the multinational globalization corporations, that offshore jobs and tax revenues, should be paying HIGHER taxes than they do now:

www.commondreams.org/headlines04/0306-01.htm

The TABOR craze that Republicans are on is more of the "starve the beast" republo-fascism stupidity that is being force-fed to an unsuspecting public like lambs to the slaughter. All the while, the outsourcing of jobs overseas and the importation of cheap foreign labor on H1B and other visa programs, not to mention the illegal immigration, continues to destroy the middle class tax base that made California great in the first place.

Sad how Ahnolds is playing politics with these issues while supporting 'globalization' policies responsible for the state's destruction !
