What's the story on Arnold wanting a "special' election??
Just like the one which he won the last time? He doesn't believe he can win on the issues unless the elections are held when people are not paying attention? He would not want these issues on the ballot when everyone has time to debate them? In fact, he would probably like to run for re-election in a special election. They should slap him down.

1. I think he is really after REDISTRICTING...
He does not want to have to wait until 2010 and that census...

Plus he would let a 3 judge (or ex-judge) panel decide districts *instead* of the CA legislature.

Bush & Co. want to "turn" California.

2. Nevermind the ridiculous cost to CA taxpayers...
It's worth every penny to bypass the normal legislative avenues....

Not to the citizens, of course, but to Herr Gropenator.

3. 2 reasons: republican anti-union hatred, and also.....
the republicans hate unions because unions are ORGANIZED and usually anti-republican. union members are really better called "working people", since republicans hate working people, but arnold and his right wing masters cannot slime against working people so they say special interests and unions.

also, arnold is funded by the out of California repupblican special interests who want to do a back door take over of california.

you know the ones, the taliban christians, the white racists, the jew haters and gay bashers. in other words, the management of the republican party.

unfortunately our democratic legislature has no guts or gonads and do little to stop this take over.

6. One more time
"the management of the republican party"
Is planning to remove the great state of CA out of the "BLUE" and name it West Florida where any person from any country of the world can become ruler and take on the American people and their stupid constitution!

7. Can't get the legislature to go for his dumb crap, so he is skipping the
actual process and taking it to the voters. He's like Bush. He has bad ideas that he thinks he can package well to voters. The legislators know his ideas won't work, but he thinks voters will be dumb enough to go for it. Imagine if Rove thought Bush could sell his privitization schemes well enough and Bush could take it to a national vote rather than working with the congress.

8. Union busting and gerrymandering
Ah-nuld has painted himself into a corner with his intemperate talk, and his Republican overlords have handed down their diktat that there will be a special election in California.

The unions and the Democrats are pretty organized, though, and have a lot more money to spend than they do in places like South Carolina or Florida. Ah-nuld is in for fight of his (hopefully) brief political life. When he's handed a resounding defeat on November 8, he will be able to walk away from the mess he's created, and like his figurehead boss declare "mission accomplished."

Then he'll make some more crappy movies as revenge against the public that treated him just as he deserved.

9. I heard yesterday was a BIG disappointment to Arnauld!
Had it on cspan this AM. Seems he planned a great big splashy video explaining how important this special election was, to be aired yestrday an all the TV stations at 5:00PM PST for maximum exposure, and the old Jaco jury pushed him right out of the spot light! They said there was only one station that actually carried the entire 3 minutes!

Comment on cspan was that Arnauld wins either way. He's looking to run for the US Senate, and win or lose the special election stuff, he'll gain a lot of attention and exposure from it.

Geesh! All of you Californians...PLEASE get this nut out of the Gov. house and back to a movie set! PLEASE!!!!!!
