Why? Why Dana? Why does it have to? Fact is. It doesn't. And, thanks Dana, thanks so much for being the first MSM talking head to actually say out loud that the nominee story is now the big story. How nice for you, how nice for you all, a chance to go back to much more familiar territory. CNN is blatant. They aren't satisfied to read talking points from the RNC. They also have to state the strategy in an effort to pull the entire lapdog media along with them.

9. It doesn't matter whether Rove stays in the headlines

for the next few weeks. Fitzgerald isn't going to adjourn the grand jury just because the media aren't paying attention. That process will continue. The media, except for the WaPo, almost totally ignored Watergate for many months, too. The investigation will go on, and indictments will issue, and they will have to pay attention. And, unless the SCOTUS nominee is a total wingnut (like Roy Moore), that nomination won't be headline news for more than a few days. Most people don't give a damn about the Supreme Court -- that's not a sexy story. Spies and lies in the White House and a journalist in jail -- that's a sexy story.
