Seems like most everyone here thinks tomorrow is a done deal...
I got news for you folk's, no it's not. IMO 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th are all up for grabs & at this point with all the undecided in NH, I am not looking at any more polls. I am going to let the voters of NH vote & then see where the standings are.

I have a sneaky suspicion there are going to be some surprises tomorrow & I would hold off on any victory parties until late tomorrow night.

Just my 2 cents.

1. 4th isn't up for grabs.
Clark has it cinched.

16. This board started, I understand, as a place of mutual support...
and encouragement after the stolen election. I suppose it was hopeless to think that spirit could be sustained, but it's unfortunate -- with so much emotional investment here during the primaries, because so much is at stake -- that the spirit of support is at this time so sadly lacking among many supporters of different candidates.

7. The snow should make things interesting.
There are some supporters I suspect are more determined to vote for their man than others are, so I'm curious to see who comes out ahead.

17. IMHO, the snow won't make a difference
It was terribly cold in Iowa and they poured into the caucuses. Same in NH. There's excitement in the air and people want to be a part of it.

or one independent voter with an open mind.

12. I think Clark will surprise a lot of folks.
Something we all tend to forget is the number of moderate GOP voters who may have resolved to vote Dem this time because they dislike Bush. I'm convinced those voters are completely under the radar right now in the polling data, and I think they will carry an impact in vote totals tomorrow in NH.

I know I'm open to charges of bias, since I'm on record as being a Clark supporter, but I've seen a lot of anecdotal stuff about moderate GOP folks who say they will vote Clark. That is a part of the reason we talk about elect-ability, if you stop to think about it. That may well begin to show up in the numbers tomorrow.

15. Im thinking here'e the breakdown of delegates
Kerry and Dean come out virtually tied.

Edwards takes the rest..

Clark and Lieberman fail to make viability (as do the rest)

18. Interesting prediction
Edited on Mon Jan-26-04 10:27 AM by kstewart33
that could well be true. If so, Kerry's challenge will be a lack of organization and $$$ for the 2/3 states, and Dean's challenge will be that the rest of the states aren't New England. And of course, the scream.

Interesting figure out today: in the Gallup poll, only 30% of those polled in NH yesterday said that the scream has had an effect on their vote. That's lower than I would have thought and should encourage Dean. Unless of course, he screams again.

19. Only 30% and this is a "good" thing?
That is nearly one third who it affected. I think that is a problem. I hope Dean does well but I am closely watching Edwards tomorrow and on Feb 3rd.

That means it was a significant event anyways.

22. I disagree
I think with the polls all over the place and a less corruptable system in NH than Iowa nobody knows what to expect tomorrow.

I have some predictions regarding February 7th (MI caucus) but I'll hang on to those for now. ;-)

24. I agree with the original post
Didn't anyone learn the major lesson of Iowa?

That lesson is that with a large field of candidates, it is nearly impossible to predict the results.

25. I think that the only thing for sure
is that Shapton and Kucinich will not end up in the top four. Other than that, it is a toss up. It will probably go down as Kerry, Dean, Clark, Edwards, Lieberman. But, then again, those NH voters are a wacky bunch! You never know.
