If I Were Edwards.......
Here would be my strategy this week

1. Forget everything but South Carolina. Go for broke(literally).
2. Repeat #1. DO NOT GO TO MISSOURI, NO MATTER HOW TEMPTING IT MAY SEEM.
3. If you have them in your pocket, start bringing out the people who you represented in court. Have those North Carolinians tell the story to their Southern neighbors about how you mopped the floor with corporate(read: Republican) interests, and extend the metaphor to smirk.
4. You must convincingly defeat Kerry in the debate(which I'll be at) on Thursday night. Keep positive, but if the opportunity presents itself, don't hesitate to take some shots at Kerry. Better yet, let Dean, Clark, and Lieberman do it for you while you're smiling at the cameras.
5. Not only do you have to believe in the people of South Carolina, you have to believe in yourself.

1. There are seven states, no?
Edwards should focus on one state and one alone? He is doing really well in Arizona (second largest number of delagates), and Oklahoma. I bet he is doing well in Missouri and New Mexico polls too. I haven't seen them. He should probably spilt the two instead of covering all five states, but still. I think skipping your second, third place standings in those other states is bad strategy.

2. You're wrong on point 2.
Edwards is running strong in Oklahoma and pretty well in Missouri. Those are the three states he should work hard on, including SC.

4. If you have to meet a threshold to get delegates, it makes sense to
run hard wherever he's near the threshold -- but he's obviously going to run to maximize delegates.

3. I like your #3 suggestion.
Have a great time at the debate!
