Wes Clark is Really Taking One For the Team
by being on Fox.

I watched the O'Reilly interview tonight, and Wes is getting the job done, no question about it; he's reaching the Fox viewers and making them think (for once in their lives).

BUT (here's the big but), if he does this too long, his political career will be in danger. O'Reilly deserves a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, not the kind of humble respect Clark gives him, even while arguing against him.

Bill O'Reilly is not fit to lick shit off the combat boots of Wes Clark. It's painful to watch them on split screen talking man to pimple, even though I know Clark is getting an important job done.

1. You say that like O'Reilly's viewers have voter clout.
Isn't he in the viewer toilet right now?

3. Mr. Loofah Falafel and "the guys in the field over there"...pathetic!
There just so happen to be a lot of women serving over there...that could kick Mr. Loofah Falafel's chickenhawk draft-dodging yellow-tailed ass this way to Sunday.

To see this pathetic lying scum-sucking Bush shill trying to match his "wits" with Clark on the matters of war is utterly beyond anything Joe McCarthy did in the '50s.

When is O'Lielly going to be taken off the air?

Lots of people who like money would probably be willing to do the same as Clark.

19. that's not all he does
A friend of mine saw him speak at a conference (LUCKY!!!!!) on a day that isn't listed on this calendar.

Until I heard that, I had no idea that the superhuman schedule on his website didn't list all his public appearances. But evidently it doesn't.

Kind of a stark contrast to *'s six-week vacations and afternoon siestas, isn't it?

It worries me sometimes, but the man is a machine.

I saw him recently at Charlie Rangle's Birthday party, we came in at the same time! Said hello to Wes and Gert (who looked great, btw).

:D

10. Good point!
When you have a contract, both sides have rules.

The incoherent right has to provide him an opportunity to speak and Clark doesn't have to worry about them cutting off what he has to say. (or talking about him behind his back)

Looks like Clark got the better end of this one.

12. Here's what I think.
Edited on Mon Oct-03-05 11:40 PM by Clarkie1
I think the main reason FOX has Clark on is they think it will hurt his chances of winning the 08' Democratic nomination by being on their station.

The primary reason Clark agreed to appear on FOX is because he believes he can open the minds of many most other Democrats would consider unreachable and unopenable. That, to him, is more important the the personal political gamble.

However, I think FOX has blown it; they have underestimated Clark and Democratic Primary voters. In the end, I believe his appearances will help him politically, not hurt him.

The FOX has been outfoxed.

15. An exercise in futility
The only reason anyone watches O'reilly is to reinforce what they already believe. Anyone who thinks Clark can reach them is seriously deluded.

17. I would have agreed with you at another time
But I've heard several stories, anecdotal I admit, of people who are FOX watchers being turned around by Clark. Some of them have some respect for him (probably because of his military background) and when he talks about Iraq and other issues, they listen.

18. It may be true that those who watch O'lielly are deluded.....
but even the deluded vote.

I'd rather be an optimist, otherwise we can just hang it all up!

Rosa Parks probably knew that she was fighting a losing battle, but that didn't seem to stop her.

Looks like there may be some who need a little Clark truth to 'power' to wake them up. Seems to have worked for this 'elderly gentleman' the poster speaks of.
