Two Questions I Wish the Press Had Asked at Today's Press Conference

First, as a follow-up to the question about whether the President believed that Harriet Miers was the most qualified person to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court (to which he said yes), I wish someone had asked whether he also believed that Michael Brown was the most qualified person to head FEMA.

Second, in response to Bush's repeated claims that he didn't have a litmus test on abortion, I wish someone has simply asked him whether he believed that any judge who shared Bush's philosphy with regard to constitutional interpretation would find a right to an abortion in the Constitution.

1. He couldn't even answer his own personal view if Roe V. Wade

should be overturned. He said he is pro-life but wouldn't answer the Roe v. Wade question. What a crock. The President shouldn't be allowed to not state what he thinks should be policy that he would like to see. The press should have hounded him with that non reply.

Bush stressed her "ethics". Yet no one questioned him about her unethical law firm helping Corporate crooks defraud investors!
