impressed with how smart she is. She is very devoted to public service. Just kidding about the run for Prez - or am I??

Oh, she is JFK' daughter for anyone who doesn't recall.

1. Being so protective of her privacy, I doubt she'd even consider...
...the thought, but gee, it's a great idea.

2. It would be nice to get a progressive back in the White House.
If B* can get in on his family name, why not Caroline? However, I've never heard her ever state an interest in this. I like that she seems to have a great deal of integrity.

3. I would love to see that happen.
However I believe any Kennedy running for President would have a target on their heads. The political machine that killed her father and uncle still exists today.

4. That's an interesting idea!
However, she hasn't focused on politics in her career thus far..... seems to shun the limelight.

5. I don't want her "accidented" or "suicided", she'd be a major threat
to the Repukes, Bushes and Clintons (DLC)...

7. I am really tired of heritary rights.
There are many fine people in this country who are qualified to do great things, and the vast majority of them are NOT Kennedys.

The vast majority of Kennedys to my mind are more of the problem than the solution.

I have no malice towards Caroline, and I'm sure she's a more decent person than many of her relatives. But there is no reason to believe that she is magically endowed with the ability to govern than Harriet Miers is magically endowed with the ability to serve with the Supremes. The connection is pretty much the same: She knows some people in powerful positions. So what?

9. would people then STOP talking about a Bush 'dynasty?'
That would be worth it.
As dynasties go, the Bush family is shit.
Anything to take them down a few notches.
Geo especially needs a few lessons in humility, Christian or otherwise.

Besides, it may be Caroline's fate to be president.

11. How about Queen ?
If America were a monarchy
And rulers led by dynasty
If there are any that could be said
To hold the right to rule the led
the one true Queen its clear to see
goes by the name of Kennedy.

13. When the muse hits me
Its hard to feel inspired to write prose with the current crises in democracy we are experiencing. When I thought of Caroline Kennedy and the sacrifices that she and her family have made in the service of democracy and we the people I was uplifted from my depression anger and frustration a bit and felt hopeful. Like a small respite in our national nightmare and I dared dream a little. Political family dynasties in America are not all bad. Gore is a good family name in my book.
