Louis Freeh says he stayed on because he did not trust Clinton..
He is selling his book by making this point. However, on closer scrutiny, one might see what was really going on. It seems that Louis Freeh was so concerned about blue dresses and sexual scandals that he forgot to do his job. He was too busy chatting with Lucianne and Isikoff to look out for the terrorists that were planning to bomb our country. ANd this was after the WTC was hit in 1993. He has not indicted Bill Clinton. He has indicted himself. What a scumbag!

2. Absolutely Kentuck!
They think we have short/long term memory loss. On the contrary. Out recall is very clear and people like you will remind them of the facts!

4. He was paid a handsome amount of money, no doubt
by the right wing, desperate for a convenient redirection of the national dialogue. We need to get those slipping Bushista's back firmly in his camp but roasting that old chestnut, CLINTON DID IT! Nothing works like that which works, and Clinton is the gold standard for whipping the right into a frenzy and making them forget all reality. His book will sell virtually its entire production run via bulk sales to The Heritage Foundation and AEI, for use as give-aways, but they'll still crow over it's great success. Fortunately, no one but most dedicated of the Bush choir will read this shit. But having them read it really isn't the point...getting the media to bring it all back up again, to get "It's Clinton's Fault!" back into the dialogue...THAT is the purpose of this book. AEI and Heritage, et al, will pay Freeh handsomely for this book, even if it never actually sells a single copy.

6. Freeh lunched with Orrin Hatch every week for years. Romance? Conspiracy?
And why did Freeh pursue Robert Hanssen's charges against Clinton over John O'Neil's efforts against terror?

7. LOL. He stayed to protect FBI from Branch Davidian fall out.
Edited on Mon Oct-10-05 10:30 AM by McCamy Taylor
That was his number one pre-occupation while he was at the FBI, and almost everytime his name was in teh news it was something to do with the cover up of what happened in Waco.

I hope and I pray that John Stewart asks him about Waco.

13. On 60 Minutes last night
he blamed all of his failures on Clinton and Congress.
Seems "personal responsibility" only applies to the poor, the bankrupt and our 42nd President.

15. Louie was Clinton's biggest mistake - a complete incompetent
tool for Hatch and Dan Burton. He is a sicko Opus Dei paranoid idiot. He clearly needs money - he has like 10 kids.

He was completely political and the reason why the FBI had a computer system dating from the 70s when 9/11 happened. He did not even have a computer on his desk - well actually, when he moved in to his office he had the computer on his desk removed because he didn't want email and did not understand how to research anything.

He is driven by his demons - just like all of his other Opus Dei chapter mates - Richard Hanson, Scalia and Clarence Thomas.

16. I think Freeh waited several years to long to write his book
There aren't many people that really give a shit about this. Freeh might want all to believe Clinton was the anti-Christ, but there are real scandels coming out now. Plame-gate, Frist-gate, Delay-gate, Bush's own ineptitude is at last a real issue, not just in the left leaning blogs. I visit the NewMaxipad site and Lucianne on a daily basis just to see what they have to say about this. Not a whole lot as far as I can see.
Freeh's book might make the NY Times best seller list, but it most likely will have a cross next to its place in the list.

This is the defining topic of Freeh's tenure as FBI chief. See this thread for more details
