Watching the Kaine/Kilgore debate on C-Span 2...

Kaine seems to be answering questions...

The Repuke is only saying...

"He'll raise your taxes!!! I'll cut your taxes!!!"

Sadly enough, many voters only hear those eight words.

1. kaine was good (what little i saw). kilgore was smarmy and

came off to me as unpolished (i guess that could be a good thing). perhaps he went to the shrub school of politics.

2. If you live in Virginia, as I do...

you have to live through the idiotic Kilgore commercials as well. This is not fun, however you look at it. When a Kilgore commercial comes on, I mute the sound. My blood pressure does not have to go even higher than it already is. The Kilgore campaign seems to center around two issues:

1) Kaine will raise your taxes, no matter what.

2) Kaine is a LIBERAL (Horror of horrors). Kilgore mentions this time and again, as if just saying it is enough to sink Kaine.

What worries me is that Virginia is a red state with many that are blinded to common sense when it comes time to choose a Governor. It will be very interesting so see how this plays out, but I hope that for my sake, it goes to Kaine.
