"Clark is Done" said Joe Scarboring, Tucker Carlson,
Edited on Wed Jan-28-04 12:40 PM by Jack_Dawson
Bob Novak, Brit Hume, Jeff Greenfield, Howie Fineman, etc. before the final votes were tallied. "He won't make it past New Hampshire. New Hampshire will spell the end of the Clark campaign."

Did The General not get the memo? He's flying around today as if he came in 3rd place in New Hampshire. Did someone not tell The General that finishing 3rd place in New Hampshire, behind a couple of career politicians from neighboring states is a disaster?

Doesn't The General "get it"??? What the hell is wrong with this man?

:wtf:

Then I guess the good General just better pack it up right now.

God, Carlson is such a flaming asshole.

4. 2/3/04 is going to tell us a lot about Mr. Clark.
While I hoped he would do better in NH percentage-wise, finishing behind two Northeasterners in their own backyard is certainly nothing to feel bad about. He finished above Edwards when all indications were that he would not.

February 3rd is the day. If Clark can win at least a couple of states (and preferably, several!), this is a whole new ball game.

Whores I tell you, they are whores. Apparently, Clark is not going to get any good free television, this week, unless he does well at the debate which I suspect he will. Then he should get decent coverage following that.

Surely the media will feel he has passed their fucking test by then.

I'd love to see the General present Tucker and Novak with a very large chocolate cake (stuffed with chimp turds) in the shape of a shoe, no, make that combat boot, after SC and a few other primaries. But maybe not as graciously as Hilary did.

He's been consistently running ads on 2 local stations between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m., when lots of us are tuning in to catch the weather updates, and none of the other candidates are running any ads.

edited for clarity

30. Ads running here in Va (2/10 state) and they are compelling
They run during the widely watched NBC affiliate morning show, all over the place.

The first one highlighted his military career (with B&W photos of him and stock Vietnam pics). The second one is just him "The people who started this unneeded war refuse to admit they were wrong...I have lead me into battle and I can lead us out of this....

The newest one tells the story of his father dying and his mother moving back to Little Rock and taking a job as a secretary which "allowed them to get by and stay together..." it is definitely geared towards women, mothers, and working women.

They are quite good actually.

http://clark04.com/ads/

The above link takes you to a page where all of the TV ads can be viewed.

I'm personally longing for a national ad with Max -- that kid kicks serious butt and I hope the campaign will take advantage of this special fan of the General. These videos are from the campaign video log. If you need a pick-me-up, no matter who your candidate, take the time to watch Max on America.

one. I have a cold and my head isn't feeling too great in the early morning these days.

This morning was one I hadn't seen before and if IRC he has on a white shirt with a black-printed tie. I thinking that the message was different and good, but nothing specific.

The first one that aired roughly 3 wks. ago was the one that ends "he'll make a fine American president".

Edited to add: One big difference in the new one is that he's doing the speaking. (I hate when I do that)

and we've been seeing his ads for a while now. We also have I think 3 new offices opening up. Not to mention the fact that our Lt. Gov. has been using all of her vacation time to campaign for Wes in NH.

11. Oh God Mathews show last night was ghastly
This was only one of the things that Scarborough (notice his chair was higher than Fineman's) and Mathews were spewing last night. Campbell Brown (apparently now a political analysts) and Fineman couldn't get a word in edge wise.

This is complete BS. Clark is clearly one of the "Final Four " (He called the Dems the "Elite Eight"-nice b-ball reference that will surely be distorted by Tucker and Novak and such). He has had ONE primary to run in and he made mistakes (psst he is human) but he is definitely in it to stay, at least for a while. Wolf was badgering him about exactly how much money he had to run on yesterday. This is clearly a public display of how much they fear him. Go General GO!

I am starting to love it. Let them do their worst. It will make us stronger and maybe earn themselves a well-deserved backlash. On the other hand, pretty soon they will be tearing Kerry apart and go back to ignoring us again. It's all good. Wes gets to do local media and screw the nationals. We've got plenty of dough and can go through Super Tuesday with what we have on hand. No prob.

and are oblivious to the "mediawhore" concept. Like my Mom, a Clark supporter, who today said "too bad about Clark last night" because everyone was painting it as a disaster. Pukes. Isn't there a law that we're supposed to get "balanced" TV?

Hardball's panels are always a couple "journalists" and a couple RW shills (Noonan, Scarboring). But never any LW shills. Ever.

24. Tucker Carlson is a self acknowledged liar
In Blinded by the Right Tucker Carlson is exposed as someone who is quite open about lying for profit. He will write any article, containing any slander which he knows to be false because he can get paid for it.

I have no understanding of how these people get paid to think on television. They are total idiots. They have no integrity. They have no insight into politics. They are partisan hacks. Robert Novak not only betrayed his country and lied about it -- he's a moron.

Why would CNN feature a professional liar on their network? Why do so few people in this country value integrity and honor? I don't understand it.

Blinded by the Right: The Conscience of an Ex-Conservative was written by David Brock, who worked as a professional mudslinger for the Republicans during the late 80s through the Clinton years. In the book, he basically confirms the vast right-wing conspiracy and tells us all about it.
