W.H. calls rumored Miers pullout "absolutely false, a conspiracy theory"
Guess that means Miers is toast. Yer a heck of a candidate, Harry...

The White House has begun making contingency plans for the withdrawal of Harriet Miers as President Bush's choice to fill a seat on the Supreme Court, conservative sources said yesterday. "White House senior staff are starting to ask outside people, saying, 'We're not discussing pulling out her nomination, but if we were to, do you have any advice as to how we should do it?' " a conservative Republican with ties to the White House told The Washington Times. The White House denied making such calls. "Absolutely not true," White House spokesman Trent Duffy said.

But the conservative political consultant said that he had received such a query from Sara Taylor, director of the Office of White House Political Affairs. Miss Taylor denied making any such calls. A second Republican, who is the leader of a conservative interest group and has ties to the White House, confirmed that calls are being made to a select group of conservative activists who are not employed by the government.

"The political people in the White House are very worried about how she will do in the hearings," the second conservative leader said. "I think they have finally awakened." "Absolutely false," Miss Taylor said. "Some of these conspiracy theories have risen to a new level."

3. A conspiracy theory?
poor choice of words:

THE COMMON PLAN OR CONSPIRACY

(Charter, Article 6, especially 6 (a))

III. Statement of the Offense

All the defendants, with divers other persons, participated as leaders, organizers, instigators, or accomplices in the formulation or execution of a common plan or conspiracy to commit, or which involved the commission of, Crimes against Peace, War Crimes, and Crimes against Humanity, as defined in the Charter of this Tribunal, and, in accordance with the provisions of the Charter, are individually responsible for their own acts and for all acts committed by any persons in the execution of such plan or conspiracy. The common plan or conspiracy embraced the commission of Crimes against Peace, in that the defendants planned, prepared, initiated, and waged wars of aggression, which were also wars in violation of international treaties, agreements, or assurances

5. The phrase "conspiracy theory" has lost all meaning
with this group of criminal conspirators. The Plame leak and cover-up IS a conspiracy, suggesting the WH might withdraw the Miers nomination is just common sense.

10. She's probably referring to the Bush AWOL cover-up conspiracy
Since Miers played a key role in that conspiracy, and got paid a nifty $19 K for her Service to Temporary. Bush's shameful AWOL records have been henceforth AWOL themselves.
