Hey Joe Lieberman - only an a**hole would support the Graham amendment

Senator Joseph Lieberman supports the Graham amendment.

The Graham amendment cuts off habeas corpus petitions by detainees at the Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, prison camp. The amendment would nullify a June 2004 Supreme Court decision that, because the Guantánamo base was under American control, the prisoners there could challenge their detentions in federal courts.

Don't the McCain and Graham ammendments kind of cancel each other out? I just don't get it. I mean I know one has to do with torture and another justice once one is claimed enemy combatant or POW or whatever.

But they just cancel each other out in my mind.
