Poll question: What Are The Chances That bu$h Will Finish his Second Term?
I think it's better than 50/50. Right now it's pretty hard to tell, but I think the tide is turning, I really do. 2008 is just too damn far off.

6. As I've said, he'll be 'martyred' before mid-2008.
(1) He's guaranteed to be a liability as an ex-pResident. His Narcissistic Personality Disorder is so obscenely extreme that meds, vacations, retreats, sycophant rallies, and enablers (narcissitic suppliers) up the ass barely keep him from a total meltdown.

(2) The 'pity' vote is damage control for Congress. Repiglickers need a martyr.

7. You're so right. When I spent my time in Crawford, I encouraged everyone

I talked with to hope and/or pray that gwb lived to a ripe old age. If he kicks the bucket during his second term, we will have instant martyr and ronnie's funeral will have nothing on gwb's.

I so want him to live to see how his miserable, failed legacy becomes a national laughingstock. MKJ

11. I too want him to live long ... in prison.
Unless and until he and his cronies are in prison for the rest of their lives, I will not recite or stand during the Pledge of Allegiance that says "... and liberty and justice for all." I will not be coerced to be hypocritical.

8. I couldn't decide how to vote... this is too tough to call
Now, if you'd said CHENEY... I'd have voted that he wouldn't finish.

At least there's SOMETHING hopeful in the air..

9. Unfortunately I think it is more than 50%. A lot more.
We'd have to get solid majorities in both houses to impeach his arse (and he ain't going any other way). While I hope and pray that happens...:(

10. This poll reminds me of "Fitzmas,"
you know, the multiple indictments that DUers predicted were coming in post after post after post. I am not looking to rain on the parade, but we need to be realistic about these things.

I am certain we will have to endure Bush for another three years. If anyone wants to make a wager with the proceeds going to DU, I'm in.

12. Most astrologers predict he won't finish his term.
I don't know if you believe in that or not. Go over to the astrology forum. There's some interesting predictions there.

16. But
most astrologists predicted Kerry to be president. I don't believe in that stuff at all, but I do remember those predictions.

13. Ask me again in November 2006
It's always possible that the Republicans could begin Chimpeachment on their own, as they did with Nixon. But it's not likely, given the sycophantic nature of the neocon shitbags.

But if we get Congress back, those odds increase (provided the DLC'ers haven't been bought off already)

14. Somebody on this board (can't remember who it was)...

...said they spoke with someone who's into astrology and this person said that somewhere between now and June of 2006, BushCo is going to have a "great fall" and be gone abruptly. They said they weren't sure how but it would be some "fall from grace."

Just for the gossip fun of it, if for no other reason.

I, too, hope bush lives to a ripe old age. Because all we'd need is for him to be turned into some sort of martyr. That's all we'd need. I want him to stick around for a long time to see his entire pride-filled agenda of big-ass ideas pounded to pulp, and his (and rove's) boastful, sinister master plan for conquering the Middle East and ensuring republi-CON single party rule for decades - to turn to a few piles of used cat litter. Along with his so-called "legacy." I want to see him live to see everything he believed in and tried to jam down America's/the world's throats completely and thoroughly repudiated. I want him to live long enough to see himself installed in the Hall of Fame of ALL-TIME WORST PRESIDENTS and HISTORY'S WORST WORLD LEADERS. I want to see him live to suffer being enshrined next to the worst villains of history - Hitler and Mussolini and Stalin and Idi Amin and Pol Pot and Papa Doc Duvalier, and Nero and Caligula. That's the crowd he deserves to run with. I want to see him hiding from the history books for the rest of his days.

Actually, I'd also like to see him and other fundie wrong-wing "Xtian" types forced either to deal with a loved one who suffers from some disease for which there still is no cure (or face it for himself) - because HIS EXTREMIST-FANATICAL POLICIES DOOMED THEM. Just as there are now republi-CONS and Republicans who've seen the light about such issues as stem-cell research and AIDS research funding - ONLY because they, or one of their own family members, suddenly fell victim to that. I forget who it was, but I saw a story here a few weeks ago about some GOPers who've changed their minds about opposing stem-cell research precisely because of health crises that befell their own loved ones. All of a sudden they're just not so ardently against it anymore. Nancy Reagan's another one. I'd like to see bush live long enough to have to face the bills - financial, moral, spiritual, emotional, physical, and karmic - that HE SPECIFICALLY and his policies and his "leadership" have run up.

I want to see him live long enough to have to walk in the shoes of one of the least of his brethren - who were hurt, abused, ignored, and neglected - BY HIS POLICIES, HIS LIES, AND HIS PIRACY.

I'd like him to live long enough to see karma catch up with his entire criminal family.

Sorry to sound so callous. I really don't wish ill on anyone - well, except him.
