A little good news - Santorum lags challenger
A poll last month showed Democratic state treasurer Bob Casey Jr. leading the incumbent among likely voters, 52 percent to 36 percent.

2. All politics is local!!!!!!
And "Man on Dog" Boy is a bit of an embarrassment...and he just can't run away from the Monkeyking fast enough!!!

Interesting article, though I think they are too quick to write off Harold Ford...he has a lot of friends in DC, and a shitload of name recognition in TN. He will make the GOP spend like crazy, because I see the Democratic Party shelling out some serious cash to help him.

4. Now all we need is Bush
to come to the rescue. Bush will have to make an 11th-hour "rescue operation for Sanitarium.

Santorum will protest; he'll say he doesn't "need" any help from him. But Bush, never known for picking up on subtle hints, will insist on helping out his Dear friend from the 13th Century.

GO BUSH!!!

5. However, the Democratic candidate Casey has accepted Halliburton funds
He is an anti-abortion zealot, and has supported the Iraq invasion.

Bob Casey does not qualify in any realm or fashion to what I would describe as being a Democrat and yet Governor Rendell and individuals like Charles Schumer are shoving this candidate through the primary and appointing him as if they are royalty.

This is wrong. It is a coup unto itself just like the Republicans we complain about when ANY person(s) seize power as their own.

13. Here's why I think Casey is the best candidate...
Casey would not be my first choice in say, an open election. However, there is an incumbent who stands very clearly to the far right of issues. The incumbent has obviously been elected (twice) by the people of this state. Therefore, he must be doing something correct in someone's view (but I'm not going to get into that). So it would seem to make sense that a more moderate, centrist Democrat would be the most appealing to crossover voters which would lead to the defeat of Santorum. And that really should be our priority. From what I've read, Casey seems to make it clear that he will not legislate his personal views and opinions and that's just fine with me. This really isn't an opportunity to get a Boxer/Feingold mold Democrat into the Senate.

So I stand behind Casey 110%.

14. Where can you specifically sight where Casey is in ANY way a Democrat?
Please let me know.

Wont legislate his personal views, perhaps, just the "views" of companies like Halliburton.

11. I've seen them twice now in Pittsburgh
Some group is running them. Tells how great Santorum is for working families, small business families. Sickening.

They must be running scared to run ads this early.

12. Get this...it's a shady VIRGINIA group that's running the ads...
They're technically classified as a 501(k) so they don't have to report where they get money that they spend on campaign ads unless they primarily do campaign ads which I presume they are very careful to NOT do. I also read that they were investigated in Texas last year by Ronnie Earle for electioneering or something like that. I think the place I got this information was from Casey's site. So you can check my facts there.

bobcaseyforpa.com I do believe is the site.
