I say: "No, there's no reason to invade Canada."
Am I weak on defense?

2. Bush says: "Here's a resolution giving me authority to invade Iran, vote for it."
I say: "no, not until you give me a justification for the need to invade."
Am I weak on defense?

3. Bush says: "If we invade China to overthrow the Commies, we have a good chance of succeeding!"
I say: "We really do not have a good chance of conquering China militarily."
Am I weak on defense?

Did I set the party back 40 years by saying that?
Should I shut up?
Should I add qualifiers?
Should I worry about what the Republicans will say?


Strength is doing what is right even though it is unpopular.
Weakness is doing what is wrong, becuase it is popular.
