Why do the Right-Wingers hate religious freedom?
Okay, I know it's an impertinent question, but aside from Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year's, here are other observances by Americans that would actually make "Happy Holiday's" the loving and sharing Christian thing to say during this season. Have I missed any?

Buddhist: Bodhi Day.

Muslim: Ramadan.

Wicca: Yule. Celebration of the birth of the God as the Winter-born king, symbolized by the rebirth of the life-generating and life-sustaining sun.

Shinto: Tohji-taisai. The Grand Ceremony of the Winter Solstice.

Baha'i: Sharaf ("Honor"). The 16th month of the Baha'i year.

Zoroastrianism: Ghambar Maidyarem begins. Celbrates the creation of animals.

Um, Festivus?

1. As a former Asaturar, I am offended...
that you assigned Yule to Wicca. HRMPHHHHH...

Don't you know that Wiccan eclecticism has destroyed YULE??? There's definately a plot to kill Yule out there, and you've been used as mule.

<sarcasm>

4. Okay, how about "celebrating the Winter Solstice" then?

:-)

But of course, the season IS all about being offended, as you so deftly point out. :-)

3. Because they think only Christianity is legitimate and acceptable
Anything else is directly from Satan, ain't no two ways about it. Religious freedom is a threat to the supremacy of Christianity, and they can't have that. Everything, EVERYTHING must revolve around their version of Jesus in their twisted little minds, and that's why religious freedom is an evil liberal idea perpetrated by Hillary Clinton and the ACLU to turn us all into homosexual pagans who praise Allah.

10. They are fearful life hating people...
who think that any idea, belief or life style that differs from their by one iota is a thing to be terrified of.

My question is, if they are so secure in their beliefs and so convinced that they have the one true way, why is it that they go to pieces if they are questioned.

I'm not sure I'm right a lot of the time, but if someone questions something I do, I don't think I have to crush them like a bug. They need lives. They need to loosen their sphincters a little so that they can sit down without hurting themselves.:hurts:
